Account Approval Policy

1. Purpose

BarbuxBarter maintains a rigorous account approval process to ensure the integrity, safety, and quality of our B2B barter marketplace. This policy outlines the requirements, verification process, and standards for membership approval.

All businesses must be approved by our admin team before gaining access to the marketplace and receiving 500 free barter credits.

2. Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for BarbuxBarter membership, your business must:

  • Be a legitimate, operational business registered in the United States
  • Have a valid Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Tax ID
  • Offer genuine goods or services suitable for B2B barter
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws
  • Have an authorized representative who is at least 18 years old
  • Maintain a professional business presence (website, physical location, or verifiable online presence)

3. Application Process

Step 1: Submit Application

Complete the online registration form with accurate business information, including:

  • Legal business name and DBA (if applicable)
  • Business address and contact information
  • Industry and service categories
  • Tax ID / EIN
  • Authorized representative name and contact details
  • Business website or online presence

Step 2: Admin Review

Our admin team reviews your application within 1–3 business days. We verify:

  • Business legitimacy and operational status
  • Accuracy of submitted information
  • Compliance with our community standards
  • Suitability for the barter marketplace

Step 3: Verification

We may request additional documentation or information to verify your business, such as:

  • Business license or registration documents
  • Proof of business address
  • Professional references
  • Portfolio or examples of work

Step 4: Approval or Denial

Once the review is complete, you will receive an email notification with the decision. If approved, your account is activated and credited with 500 free barter credits.

4. Approval Criteria

Applications are evaluated based on:

  • Business Legitimacy: Is the business real, operational, and verifiable?
  • Service Quality: Does the business offer professional, high-quality goods or services?
  • Community Fit: Is the business a good fit for our B2B barter network?
  • Compliance: Does the business comply with legal and ethical standards?
  • Reputation: Does the business have a positive track record and professional reputation?

5. Reasons for Denial

Applications may be denied if:

  • The business cannot be verified or appears fraudulent
  • Submitted information is incomplete, inaccurate, or misleading
  • The business operates in a prohibited industry (e.g., adult content, gambling, illegal activities)
  • The business has a history of fraud, scams, or unethical practices
  • The applicant is under 18 years of age
  • The business does not meet our quality or professionalism standards
  • The applicant has previously been banned from BarbuxBarter

6. Reapplication

If your application is denied, you will receive an explanation of the reason. You may reapply after addressing the issues cited in the denial. There is no limit to the number of times you can reapply, provided you meet the eligibility requirements.

7. Approval Timeline

Most applications are reviewed within 1–3 business days. Complex cases requiring additional verification may take up to 7 business days. If we need more information, we will contact you via the email address on your application.

8. Post-Approval Responsibilities

Once approved, members must:

  • Keep account information accurate and up-to-date
  • Comply with all BarbuxBarter policies and rules
  • Conduct trades professionally and ethically
  • Respond to verification requests if needed
  • Notify us of any significant business changes

Failure to maintain compliance may result in account suspension or termination.

9. Account Suspension and Revocation

BarbuxBarter reserves the right to suspend or revoke membership at any time if:

  • The business is found to have provided false information
  • The member violates our Terms & Conditions or Barter Rules
  • The member engages in fraudulent or unethical activity
  • The business ceases operations or becomes ineligible

10. Appeals

If you believe your application was denied in error or your account was suspended unfairly, you may submit an appeal to appeals@barbuxbarter.com within 30 days. Include:

  • Your business name and application/account ID
  • Explanation of why you believe the decision was incorrect
  • Supporting documentation

We will review your appeal and respond within 7 business days.
